BIO:Vitantonio Liuzzi won karting’s equivalent of Formula One in 2001 and finished second in the German Formula Renault Championship. During 2002 Liuzzi campaigned the German Formula 3 Championship, scoring three pole positions, three podiums and a pole to flag victory in the San Marino International Formula 3 race at Imola..

In 2003 he entered the FIA F3000 International Championship and finished fourth overall. He signed with Arden International for 2004. Scored seven wins out of ten starts, including nine pole positions, winning the championship .

For the 2005 season he joined the newly formed Red Bull Racing Formula One team. With David Coulthard confirmed as one race driver, Liuzzi and Christian Klien shared the second seat, with Klien getting three races before Liuzzi made his F1 race debut on home soil at Imola. He entered three more races before Klien took over for the rest of the season.

He moved to sister outfit Toro Rosso in 2006, where he remained for the 2007 season, scoring a career-best sixth at the Chinese Grand Prix. Liuzzi moved to Force India in 2008 in the development role. He moved up to the race seat from the 2009 Italian Grand Prix on after the departure of Giancarlo Fisichella and will remain there for 2010.
