BIO:One of Formula One’s most promising young drivers, Perez pieced together a solid rookie season with Sauber despite being outpaced for top rookie honors by Force India’s Paul Di Resta. Perez finished seventh in his F1 debut in Melbourne before being disqualified for a technical violation on his car. Perez scored his first points in the season’s fifth race and later sat out the Monaco GP and the Canadian GP after being shaken up in a violent qualifying crash in Monte Carlo. Perez was the GP2 Series runnerup in 2010, winning five races and capturing seven podiums and one pole. Sergio Perez on Twitter: @SChecoPerez
