BIO:The most experienced Formula One driver in history with over 280 starts heading into 2010, Barrichello is also the oldest driver in F1 grid, having been the youngest when he made his debut aged 20 in 1993.
A five-time Brazilian karting champion between 1981 and 1988, Barrichello moved to Europe in 1990 and won the Opel Lotus Euroseries, before adding the British F3 title in 1991, beating David Coulthard in one of the last classic F3 title battles. Moving to F3000 in 1992 he was third in the points but failed to take win. Nevertheless, Eddie Jordan signed him for 1993 and Barrichello immediately impressed, running second to Ayrton Senna at the legendary Donington Park F1 race, before suffering a mechanical failure.
Barrichello moved to the new Stewart team in 1997, finishing second to Michael Schumacher in the wet Monaco GP, and then scoring three podium finishes and a pole position in 1999. He then moved to Ferrari in 2000 as Schumacher’s teammate, and scored his first win at the 124th attempt at Hockenheim, from 18th on the grid. He raced for six seasons at Ferrari, taking nine wins and finishing at championship runner-up in 2002 and 2004. Moved to Honda in 2006, but had to wait until Silverstone 2008 to score his first podium for the team. Honda became Brawn GP during the 2008 off-season.
In 2009, he was outpaced by Brawn teammate Button from the outset. He did score three podiums from the first six races, but hopes of drivers' title began to dim until late in the season when he was able to score two wins. Ultimately finishes third overall and announces he would more to Williams for 2010.
