Earned first career pole at Indianapolis. Led the first 16 laps of the race and finished fifth. His third-place finish at Atlanta in October was a career high. IN 2006 Reed finished 24th in series points. His Season-high fifth-place finish came at Michigan in June and he finished 10th at Atlanta in March for first career top-10. Sornesen Finished the season fourth in Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings.
