BIO: Began his racing career in 2000. Indian National Racing Champion with a record breaking 7 race victories; Pole position and fastest lap in all the 10 races which is still a national record.

In 2001 joined Team India Racing in the Asian Formula series; won the first five races, eight overall to become youngest ever champion. Following year finished 6th in the British Formula 3 National class with 6 top 3 finishes. In 2003 was third in British Formula 3 National class winning 8 races and scoring 19 podium finishes in 24 races. Remained with British Formula 3 in 2004, also Team India captain in 24 hour Dubai Karting race.

Raced part-season in the Renault World Series with RC Motorsport in 2005 and was the first driver to represent India in A1 Grand Prix. Won the first ever Asian Formula Renault V6 Championship in 2007 with seven win in 12 races. Moved to the GP2 series in 2008 wining two races and tested for Red Bull F1 team. ‘Most Improved driver of the year’ by the GP2 series.

Spent 2009 in the GP2 Series; Signed with HRT in February 2010 becoming the second driver from India to reach top level of the sport following Narain Karthikeyan who raced for Jordan in 2005.
