Giancarlo Fisichella
Hometown:Rome Italy
Birthdate:January 14, 1973
Car Number:
Make:Ferrari F430 GT2
Wiki:

BIO:First raced in karts as long ago as 1984, the year Niki Lauda won the F1 world title. Fisichella was the Italian F3 champion in 1994, when he also won the prestigious Monaco F3 race. He switched to the German Touring Car Championship in 1995, racing a Class 1 Alfa Romeo and finishing 2nd at Mugello.

Unusually, he made his F1 debut with Minardi in 1996 while continuing to race in the renamed International Touring Car Championship, before concentrating on F1 full-time with Jordan in 1997, qualifying on the front row at Hockenheim and scoring two podium finishes. Moved to Benetton in 1998, and scored podium finishes in all four seasons with the team without ever winning.

Moving back to Jordan in 2002, he finally took a win at Interlagos in 2003, in a crazy race that was red flagged 17 laps before the scheduled finish, with Fisichella leading only one lap. Joined Sauber in 2004 and had a steady but unspectacular year, and then moved to Renault in 2005, spending three seasons with the team but only yielding two wins. His season with Force India in 2008 was the first time the Italian completed a full season of F1 racing without scoring a point.
