BIO:Entering his seventh season with the famous Italian team, Massa likely must take it up a notch to keep his seat with Ferrari beyond 2012. The winner of 11 Grands Prix was outclassed by teammate Fernando Alonso in 2011, scoring less than 50 percent of the Spaniard’s point tally. Massa failed to score a single podium and finished a distant sixth in the driver standings, two spots behind Alonso. Massa returned to the F1 grid in 2010, finishing sixth in the standings for Ferrari, after sitting out the last part of 2009 due to a fractured skull suffered in Hungary when he was struck by a loose spring from another car.
