BIO:The nephew of late F1 legend Ayrton, Bruno Senna had quite the interesting ride in 2011. After losing his race seat at lowly HRT after his rookie season of 2010, Senna moved into a reserve role at Renault only to be drafted in midway through the season as the replacement for struggling race driver Nick Heidfield, who had taken over at the start of the season for Robert Kubica after Kubica suffered injuries in an off-season rally crash. Senna seized opportunity, breaking into Q3 on multiple occasions, but his race results weren’t as positive. The Brazilian scored just one point in eight starts – not enough to earn him a full-time seat at Renault (now Lotus) for 2012 but enough to win him the Williams seat occupied in 2011 by veteran Rubens Barrichello.
