BIO:After several years driving for the Wood Brothers on a part-time basis, Elliott made five starts for Phoenix Racing in 2011. Ellliott has a long and illustrious history in NASCAR, winning the Sprint Cup championship in 1988 and finishing second in 1985 and ’92. Known as “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville,” the Georgia native earned 44 race victories in his career, ranking him 15th all-time, as well as 55 poles, which is seventh-best in NASCAR history.
