Track Description:
A temporary circuit laid out through Albert Park in Melbourne, this flowing track has held the opening race of the Formula One World Championship since 1996, with the exception of 2006 when it was shifted to avoid clashing the Commonwealth Games. Memorable moments here include Damon Hill almost failing to qualify as reigning world champion in 1997, the infamous team orders saga involving Mclaren in 1998, Eddie Irvine taking a surprise win in 1999 and David Coulthard winning a topsy-turvy wet/dry race in 2003.
